Women Supporting Women in Refugee Centres
On Tuesday, June 22nd, 5 – 6.30 p.m. (UTC+2), we would like to present our work with female asylum seekers who are living in large accommodation centres in Germany. One of the women, who received training by Doctors of the World Germany and now volunteers as “multiplier”, will talk about her experiences. She will give an account of the extremely problematic conditions in so-called Ankerzentren and how she supports the women living there.
Online journey to Ukraine and Ethiopia
On Thursday, June 24th, 5 – 7 p.m. (UTC+2), we will speak live to our colleagues in Ethiopia and Ukraine for a first-hand account of the current situation in their regions.
Both events will be held in English and German. Translation will be provided. Participants will get a chance to digitally interact and to ask questions to MdM experts.
The events are part of an anniversary week that will conclude with Doctors of the World's members' meeting on the 26th of June 2021. We would also like to use the opportunity to raise funds for our patients and are planning a special donation campaign. Be it on foot or on wheels, swimming, mounting climbing or by giving a donation ‒ everybody is invited to join!
